SPOTTED: Napoleon and a NEW WOMAN?

October 15, 1795

Good day my lovely Corsicans, what a lovely day it is today
SPOTTED: Napoleon Bonaparte was seen at Paul Francois Barras' house for some sort of gathering and he was seen VERY close to this mystery woman. Upon further investigation, we have determined that Napoleon's mystery woman was Marie Josephine de Beauharnais. This woman in Paul's mistress!  although it looks like she is moving on to something more? They were seen together the whole night. Napoleon was clearly smitten with Josephine, who seems rather off put by him. But nevertheless, could there be a possibility for them to get together? Could they be France's IT couple? We will keep you updated if we get word from Napoleon or Josephine

Until next time,

UPDATE: October 16, 1795

After reaching out to him, Napoleon has given us a statement about last night.
" I went to my good friend Paul's house for a low-key gathering between friends. while I was there I saw the most BEAUTIFUL woman. She was unlike anything i have ever seen! From her lovely raven hair to her great body. She was magnificent. Being the curious man that I am, I asked Paul who she was he told me her name. I didn't like it all to much, so I decided  would give her a new name. A pet name just between us. I went up to her and told her just how beautiful she was. She was flattered but seemed uninterested. I did not give up however. I pursued her for the rest of the evening, in the most polite way I assure you. She has since warmed up to me and wasn't completely shutting down my advances. I feel that if I continue this path that in 6 months I will be marry that woman. She will be mine, my sweet Josephine."

UPDATE: December 29, 1795

We have recently recovered a letter from Napoleon himself to his beloved Josephine. It is quite sappy and just shows how much love Napoleon has for her. But does she feel the same way? I assume not based on the fact that this letter was indeed found opened but thrown on the ground where i recovered it.This is all quite sad if she indeed has no interest in him. we will never know how Josephine feels until she admits it. I have reached out to her and are awaiting  I will read you and excerpt:

"I awake all filled with you. Your image and the intoxicating pleasures of last night, allow my senses no rest.
Sweet and matchless Josephine, how strangely you work upon my heart.
Are you angry with me? Are you unhappy? Are you upset?
My soul is broken with grief and my love for you forbids repose. But how can I rest any more, when I yield to the feeling that masters my inmost self, when I quaff from your lips and from your heart a scorching flame?
Yes! One night has taught me how far your portrait falls short of yourself!
You start at midday: in three hours I shall see you again.
Till then, a thousand kisses, mio dolce amor! but give me none back for they set my blood on fire."
-Napoleon Bonaparte

Why would Josephine be so off put by someone who clearly is so dearly in love with her? She has no idea how lucky she is. He has money, fame, a name for himself. She should DEFINITELY be jumping on this. He may not be the most physically attractive man in France but he sure is one of the most well-known, and if she would get with him that would mean she would be well known throughout Paris. She doesn't know what she is missing.
